About Citizens Schools

Originally pioneered in Boston, Citizens Schools now partners with schools across 8 states with over 5,200 children served in 2012-2013 alone. Students discover new fields alongside adult volunteers – Citizen Teachers – who bring their expertise to life. Citizens Teachers come from community-minded organizations, non-profits, as well as neighbors.
