My Generation Energy is significantly broadening its leadership and management team with our new Vice President and General Manager, James P. O’Rourke. Jim joins us with extensive management and sales experience in technology and finance. The continued dynamic growth and success of My Generation Energy is a direct result of the quality people on our team. It is with great excitement that we welcome Jim O’Rourke to our company.
Jim’s responsibilities include the overall management of the My Generation Energy business. Prior to working at My Generation Energy, Jim worked for 25 years in the high-technology business in a variety of sales and management roles at both small and large companies who sold and implemented sophisticated hardware and software products.
Jim also spent 4 years in the finance business in roles that included business development management and then as the Chief Operating Officer of a hedge fund with over $800 million in assets under management.
Jim is a co-founder of the Massapequa Community Fund, which is a 501 (c) 3 charity that provides grants for scholarships, community organizations and families in financial distress in his hometown of Massapequa, NY. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Patient Airlift Services (PALS), a volunteer pilot organization that provides free flights for patients and U.S. military personnel, and their families, who need specialized medical treatments that are distant from their homes.
Jim is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
He splits his time between his homes in Medway, MA and Dennis, MA along with his wife Kelly and his 3 children, Jake, Shannon & Erin.
