The Brewster Community Solar Garden® Facility &Cooperative and partner My Generation Energy has won CIRENEW’s 2012 Renewable Generation Award. They were chosen for taking innovative action consistent with CIRenew’s goals of halving fossil fuel consumption and achieving electricity independence.
CIRenew is hosting a celebration next Wednesday, September 26 at Woods Hole Research Center (WHRC) to honor scientist and activist George Woodwell with a lifetime achievement award, as well as the winners of its 2012 Clean Energy/Green Action Awards. The event will begin at 6:30 with a reception, followed by the awards presentation and a talk by Mr. Woodwell. It is open to the public and particularly aimed at CIRenew/NESEA members, additional professionals, local and regional officials, and others who might be interested in having their work recognized in 2013.
