My Generation Energy was thrilled with the response at the “Explore Home Solar” exposition on February 5th at the Music Hall in Marion Massachusetts. Attended by over one hundred residents from Rochester, Mattapoisett, Wareham, Fairhaven, Dartmouth, and of course Marion, it was an exciting event. With a keynote address that sounded more like a solar pep-talk, State Senator MarcPacheco kicked-off the festivities. Bill Saltonstall, one of the organizers of the event, then introduced the other volunteers and organizers. He pointed around the room providing the audience with the background and description for each of the exhibitors. Fortunately for My Generation Energy, Bill is one of our customers. So his description of our company was a first-hand account of his experiences working closely with us to install solar panels on his home—which happens to be right across the street from the event site! It could not have been a finer moment. Thank you Bill.
Then came the mad rush as attendees flocked to our table. Their interests varied, but most requested solar energy assessments and asked questions about the benefits of owning solar. The three of us, Nate Blois, Andrew Wade, and Luke Hinkle were busily providing information and accepting request forms for a Solar Snapshot™, a thumbnail assessment of the solar potential at a home.
The Explore Home Solar exposition was the result of coordinated efforts by members of the energy committees and other motivated residents of Marion, Rochester, and Mattapoisett Massachusetts. It was an educational and inspiring evening for solar energy on the South Coast of Massachusetts.
